CPD: US Marshals arrest murder suspects at Grove Park Apartments in Kansas
COLUMBUS, Georgia (WRBL) – The Columbus Police Department (CPD) on Thursday announced the arrest of a man charged with murder in 2022.
Authorities obtained an arrest warrant for 52-year-old Chris Binns on May 4 for murder, according to the CPD. US Marshals arrested Chris Binns on May 11 in Kansas.
The warrant stems from the discovery of an unresponsive victim at the Grove Park Apartments. According to the CPD, officers were dispatched to the apartment complex around 1:33 p.m. on November 17, 2022 after receiving a report of a “person ill or injured”.
The victim, 50-year-old Kerry Binns, was pronounced dead at 2:07 p.m. by Assistant Medical Examiners Elizabeth Allison and Dustin Harrison
A court date will be set after Chris Binns arrives in Columbus following his extradition from Kansas, according to the CPD.
