Dancing With the Stars recap: [Spoiler] Wins in the season 31 finale

After 10 weeks, dozens of performances and countless embarrassing chats in the skybox, Dancing with the starsThe first season on Disney+ is over.

In some ways, Monday’s season 31 winner’s reveal almost felt like a footnote during the finale, which also included emotional goodbyes to head judge Len Goodman and longtime dance pro Cheryl Burke, both of whom left the series after joining Dance in its earliest days.

But after all those tears were wiped away, the show still had a Mirrorball trophy up for grabs, and the four remaining finalists — Wayne Brady, Charli D’Amelio, Shangela and Gabby Windey — still had two new routines to paint for the Scores had to be shown by the judges and the spectators’ votes. First, each couple resorted to a dance style they struggled with earlier in the season, then the duos unveiled their long-awaited freestyle performances. Here’s what Monday’s final results looked like:

Then, after two packed hours, it was finally time for the results. The champions of season 31 are… Charlie and Mark! Gabby and Val are this year’s runners-up, while Wayne and Witney took third place, and Shangela and Gleb took fourth place.
