Daniel Radcliffe and Emma Watson have always had a sibling relationship. As the pair spent a full decade filming and promoting the eight Harry Potter movies, they actually grew up together. Spending so much time together certainly deepened their bond. As teenagers, they gave each other advice on how to text members of the opposite sex they liked. And as adults, they offer each other emotional support as they navigate a career in the spotlight. Since the couple has such a brother-sister bond, it’s no surprise that embarrassment arose when they had to share a romantic kiss.

Potterheads no doubt remember Radcliffe and Watson having to kiss Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 1. The pair were hired to play Horcrux versions of their characters Harry and Hermione to satirize Ron. They insist that they would be better off without Ron and that Hermione would never choose Ron as a romantic partner over The Chosen One. The taunt reaches its climax when the two share a rather intense kiss.

Watson explains why she felt Harry and Hemione needed to share a passionate kiss
Filming the scene was certainly a challenge for the actors due to their sibling bond. It was made even more awkward by the fact that they were topless while filming the kissing scene. But despite the discomfort, Watson decided to attack the moment vigorously to serve the scene. In a magazine interview, Watson recalled her kissing scene with Radcliffe.
“I think obviously for the scene it had to be something that would really upset Ron, that would make him really jealous and upset, so I think the kiss had to be passionate on Hermione’s part,” Watson shared. But it seemed Watson’s passion managed to shock Radcliffe. The actor admitted he wasn’t expecting it Noah Actor for being so aggressive and calling her a bit like an animal while promoting the film.

It wasn’t long before Radcliffe’s comment returned to Watson. But how did The bling ring Actors react to Radcliffe’s comments? She admits that she eventually confronted him.

“Well, I said to him last night, I was like, ‘You told everyone I jumped on you!'” Watson shared. “He says, ‘I didn’t use those words. I didn’t use those words. I just said…” I said, “Whatever, Dan.” He said, ‘No, no! I gave you 10 out of 10 for kissing.’ I was like, ‘Okay, as long as it’s positive I think it’s okay.’”
Radcliffe wasn’t too upset about having to kiss Watson
It seems Watson was able to take Radcliffe’s remarks with ease. While Radcliffe was surprised by Watson’s energy, he admitted that kissing his co-star wasn’t exactly difficult. In fact, he realized that many other people would have loved the opportunity to make out with Watson. While the moment was awkward for the couple, they managed to process it. And as uncomfortable as their kiss was, for Watson it wasn’t nearly as awkward as kissing Rupert Grint.
