‘Member when you go in The Lightning‘s season 8 finale, the time-sick Iris suddenly disappeared from the S.T.A.R. Iris then seemingly died in her husband’s arms before dissipating into a cloud of particles.
The search for Iris then continued, and although Jay Garrick and his wife Dr. Joan Williams from 2049 to 2022 traveled to help, why didn’t her own Barry Allen/The Flash offer his own considerable skills?
The explanation for Barry’s absence in 2049 is revealed in the above clip from Season 8 Episode 20 – one of several deleted scenes that is found on The Flash: The Complete Eighth Seasonwhich will be released this Tuesday 18th October on Blu-ray (buy here) and DVD (buy here).
