Drugs or alcohol were likely a factor in the Winnetka crash that left 1 dead and 6 others injured

WINNETKA, LOS ANGELES (KABC) — Drugs or alcohol were a likely cause of a fatal three-vehicle accident in Winnetka on Saturday, investigators say.

According to the Los Angeles Police Department, the accident happened around 7:45 p.m. in the Corbin Avenue and Roscoe Boulevard area. Two cars and an SUV collided and the SUV landed on its roof.

The accident killed one person, who has not yet been identified, and injured six others.

Authorities said the preliminary investigation concluded the incident may have been a DUI crash.
