Viewers discovered Gail’s secret last night and tonight it emerged that Ryan knew about the birth and they both decided to have him adopted.

But with that News that the boy, OscarBecause she has leukemia and requires a bone marrow transplant to survive, Gail agreed to be tested.

In tonight’s episode she told Ryan what was going on, but his reaction left viewers horrified.

She said to him, “Please don’t be angry. You said you wouldn’t do it, in my head you said you wouldn’t do it…

“Our son is in the hospital. He’s really sick. He could die.”

She added: “His name is Oscar but in hospital I wanted to call him Sparrow. But Oscar is probably better.

“Please say something, anything. I can’t tell if you’re angry or really sad or really scared. I’m afraid, too. I should have told you when they first contacted me…”

But Ryan – who was also adopted – told her: “We are not his parents. We made a mistake, you got pregnant and we gave up on him.”

Gail tried to get Ryan to help, but he refused to even see a picture of his son.

She told him, “You’re mad at me, but there’s no need to be mad at him. This isn’t his fault. He needs us.”

However, Ryan simply said, “Just go now.”

Viewers are disgusted by his reaction.

One wrote: “Ryan is a bit stupid isn’t he? Imagine not wanting to help a sick child when you have the chance.”

A second said: “He’s your son Ryan and he’s dying.”

Another added: “Weird reaction from Ryan, I didn’t expect that.”
