BattleState Games has announced that they will be releasing a new update for EFT today, which is probably focused on improving the lighthouse in the game. With fans eagerly awaiting the next wipe, here’s what the latest update has to offer.

Escape From Tarkov update maintenance plan

The official Twitter account from Escape from Tarkov has provided some information about the upcoming technical update. It is stated that the Escape From Tarkov servers will be shut down on May 11th at 3:00 am EDT/9:00 am CEST for the update to be installed.

It is further added that the installation will take about 2 hours. During this time, players will not be able to play the game until the installation is complete. Note that after this you will probably need to download an update to be able to play the game again as it doesn’t look like a server-side update.

In addition, the developers have added that the installation might take a little longer, so the 2-hour timeframe is not fully fixed and can be extended if circumstances change. Usually we have seen that the updates have been completed on time, so one should not worry so much about the maintenance being extended.
