His new normal. Todd Chrisley was taken to prison on Tuesday, January 17th and surrendered at the Pensacola Federal Detention Center in Pensacola, Florida. Us weekly confirmed.
The Chrisley knows best Star was sentenced to 12 years in prison after he and his wife Julie Chrisley, were found guilty in June 2022 of twelve counts of tax evasion, bank and wire fraud and conspiracy. For her part, Julie was sentenced to seven years in prison and reported to the Federal Medical Center in Lexington, Kentucky.
The former USA Network stars have repeatedly denied the fraud allegations and claimed that it was their former employee Mark Braddock was responsible for the couple allegedly paying inflated earnings to banks so they could borrow more than $30 million.
The couple, who tied the knot in 1996, tried to extend their sentence by 21 days, but a judge rejected the request on January 10. The court also rejected the couple’s request for bail.
Todd reported to the Federal Prison Camp Pensacola in Florida in January 2023. While Julie was originally scheduled to be housed at the Federal Correctional Institution Marianna in the same state, it was decided in December 2022 that she would report to Lexington instead.
