Before Baldwin addressed the incident, there were numerous tributes paid to the late cameraman.
“I’m in shock. I was very fortunate to have Halyna Hutchins as my cinematographer on Archenemy.” Joe Manganiello tweeted. “An incredible talent and a great person. I can’t believe something like this can happen these days…Propellant gun shots could kill a crew member? What a terrible tragedy. My heart is with her family.”
Ava DuVernay left a comment on Casting Director Sidra SmithIn his Instagram post about Hutchins, he wrote: “Devastating. Absolutely terrible. Blessings to you at this difficult time, Sidra. And may her soul rest.”
