Ex-boxing champ Andy Ruiz Jr says Twitter was hacked by ex after tweets about weed and prostitutes surfaced

Andy Ruiz Jr., a heavyweight boxer who upset Anthony Joshua in 2019 and won the WBA Super, IBF, WBO and IBO titles, caused a stir this week with worrying news from his Twitter account.

Ruiz’s account tweeted, “I wanted to share with you guys what my life behind camp is really like!”

“I love drinking codeine and smoking weed all day,” the post reads, according to The Sun. “I also love buying prostitutes. After that there are meetings to cleanse my blood to make sure I come out clean when VADA comes to my training camps.”

The tweet was deleted along with four photos.

Ruiz took to his Instagram Live and said his Twitter account had been hacked by an ex.

“My twitter was hacked by this idiot I know. And she’s just mad. She’s mad because I’m happy. She’s mad because I’m with my girlfriend,” he said. “But I haven’t posted anything. That’s one hell of a bad person posting things. She’s trying to ruin my career.”

“God has bigger plans for me than fighting that damn little girl. I just don’t like it when people try to make me look bad or tell people to hate me… I thought she’d find a new man….”

According to The Sun, Ruiz split from his wife Julie Lemus in April. He was then reportedly linked to social media influencer Mayeli Alonso.
