Connection to server failed.

Login failed: The authentication servers are currently unreachable. Please try again.

Well, this is quite an annoying problem when trying to get onto a server as it prevents you from logging in. when you play Minecraft Offline you don’t have this problem and you can play without problems. How to fix this error?

Failed Minecraft authentication servers in March 2022 explained

Well the bug is actually on Minecraft‘s server end, so there’s nothing you can do to fix it. There must be a server-side error causing the outage and preventing players from logging in. Rest assured your internet is running fine as you are not the only one facing this problem today.

The good news is that the problem has been recognized by mojang, and they have assured fans that they are working on a solution. A tweet on their Status account, which includes updates on the status of the game, mentions that some Minecraft services are currently unavailable. An exact timeframe for resolving the update was also not given, so we don’t really know when we’ll be able to get back into the game. Given that Mojang has managed to resolve issues fairly effectively in the past, it should come as no surprise that the servers have been up and running again in no time.
