Fashion District stabbing: The owner of a wig shop was fatally stabbed while trying to stop alleged juvenile robberies, the LAPD says

LOS ANGELES (KABC) — A man who owned a wig shop in downtown LA’s Fashion District was trying to stop two suspected juvenile robberies when he was stabbed to death over the weekend, authorities said Monday.
According to the Los Angeles County Coroner, the victim was identified as 56-year-old Du Lee. His place of residence was not available.
The stabbing was reported on Wall Street and Olympic Boulevard at 1:16 p.m. Saturday, according to the LAPD.
Lee was found unconscious and not breathing by arriving officers and was pronounced dead at the scene, LAPD officer Matthew Cruz said.
An investigation at the scene found the victim was involved in a physical altercation with suspects, who were described as a man and a woman, Cruz said.

The altercation was captured on cell phone video by a bystander. The footage shows a man with what appears to be a blonde wig, who is later seen walking on the sidewalk near the stabber.
One of the suspects brandished a knife and stabbed Lee multiple times, authorities said.
The two suspects, both 17, fled the scene and were soon arrested, according to police. Their identities have not been released as they are minors.
