“FBI: International” Luke Kleintank does not leave the role of Scott Forrester

For weeks, FBI: International‘s Special Agent Scott Forrester was threatened with sacking by dopey Ken Dandridge his time on the Fly Team.

In this week’s episode, which centered on the search for one and then two missing girls, Forrester (played by original cast member Luke Kleintank) and Dandridge (Michael Torpey) kept bumping into each other, with the latter almost counting the minutes out loud Forrester would be forced to punch out as leader of the Fly team. The legal attaché at the US embassy in Budapest has even enlisted the support of a US senator to scare Forrester into his less experienced course of action.

But when all was said and done, Forrester took his own approach to follow one last lead and was able to successfully locate/rescue the two girls. And as icing on the cake, with the help of Special Agent Zoey McKenna, it was revealed that Dandridge ordered an unauthorized wiretapping of Forrester’s phone! So not only could Dandridge not claim victory and oust Forrester as leader of the Fly Team, he also got into a lot of legal trouble.

Regarding the week-long storyline, which among other things broke up his paternity leave from the CBS drama (he and his wife Christina welcomed their first child in 2022), Kleintank told TVLine, “I thought the writers did a great job when.” it was a story that built a lot of drama with lots of twists and turns and kept people in suspense.

“I know it scared fans,” added Kleintank (very right!), “but Forrester isn’t going anywhere.”

The new dad continued, “It meant a lot to me that the executive producers were able to give me this time off to spend with my family during a truly life changing experience. I would like to thank the entire Dick Wolf team, especially Michael Katlemen, Derek Haas, Anastasia Puglisi and Ernesto Alcalde for making this possible. I’m thankfull.”
