It would not be a consequence of Fear the walking death If we hadn’t lost another character at this point, would we now? But even by the standards of this showthe circumstances surrounding Sunday’s apparent swan song were…challenging.
During “Amina,” Alicia hung out with the mysterious little girl who she believed helped her earlier in the season. The child wanted to save her friend from Strand’s burning tower and the radioactive strays. And this dude turned out to be…? Victor of course. And the child? Alicia’s hallucinations of a younger version of herself.
When all was said (so much… said) and done, as Daniel, Luciana, Dwight, Sherry & co. sailed to less dangerous shores, Alicia beached in a raft too. Why everyone agreed to let the murderous villain go with them I have no idea. Shouldn’t he have been last person they want by then?
In any case, Alicia would then, and only then, break down for the last time. wait no She later woke up again, this time looking completely cured of zombie fever and, she told her Mini-Me, feeling more like herself than she had in ages.
Many viewers who watched early on AMC+ seemed to think that our heroine had died by that point. But if that were the case and she was in some kind of afterlife, wouldn’t she have had her sawed-off arm back (which she didn’t have)? And why did she bother putting on a radiation mask when she returned to the tower to help anyone who had heard her message go there?
Personally, I suspect Alicia is about as dead as Madison. What about you? Smash the comments with your theories and reaction to Season 7’s wacky penultimate episode.
