Fighting at a bar on 6th Street results in stabbings

The victim, who has possible life-threatening injuries, was transported to a nearby Dell Seton hospital.

AUSTIN, Texas — A fight at a bar on 6th Street resulted in one person being stabbed early Wednesday morning.

At 2:12 p.m. on January 11, the Austin Police Department (APD) received a call on the corner of 6th Street and Trinity Street about a man who had been stabbed to death outside a bar.

Witnesses told officers the victim and someone else were in the bar before the stabbing. The two got into a fight, the victim left the bar and was shortly after stabbed to death by a person who got out of a vehicle.

After the stabbing, the person left the crime scene. APD is still looking for the person.

The victim, who has possible life-threatening injuries, was transported to a nearby Dell Seton hospital.

At this time the area around Trinity Street to Neches Street is cordoned off.

APD is investigating the scene and no further information is available at this time.
