‘Fire Country’ 1×09 Sneak Peek: Will Bode be saved from drowning?

2023 First looksIt’s sinking or… well, Not sink, e.g fire land‘s Bode when CBS’ hit freshman drama resumes its season early next month. And TVLine’s 2023 First Look series continues with an exclusive preview in a daring rescue mission of a person.

When we last tuned in fire land, a car accident had left a vehicle halfway on/halfway off the side of a bridge and swaying with the driver and passenger’s siblings inside. Fire Captain Manny (played by Kevin Alejandro) had campaigned to get the female passenger out as soon as possible and then tend to the unconscious driver, but Battalion Commander Vince (Billy Burke) – his POV – made clear by the similarities to the accident years earlier stained, killed his daughter Riley – overruled him and ordered everyone to try to secure the vehicle first instead.

Ultimately, with traffic hampering the arrival of more help, Manny’s approach was rechecked and the passenger extricated from the car – whereupon Bode (Max Thieriot) made the bold decision to climb into the vehicle and extricate/pull the awakened driver out. But just as he was helping Bode pull the driver out, Vince could only watch as the wagon fell off the bridge and into the river – far below, with his son still inside.

See who swims to the possible rescue of an unconscious, drowning Bode in the exclusive clip above. all while an internal investigation into the car accident/rescue (quickly!) gets underway….
