Florida woman wins $1 million after buying $5 scratch card at 7-Eleven

TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) – A Florida woman is $1 million richer after buying a scratch card at a 7-Eleven.
The Florida Lottery announced that Racquel Maxey, 41, of Kissimmee, has won the $1 million prize in the GOLD RUSH DOUBLER scratch game at the lottery’s Tallahassee headquarters.
Maxey chose to receive her winnings as a one-time lump sum payment of $685,000.

The Florida Lottery said Maxey bought the winning ticket at the 7-Eleven at 4015 West Irlo Bronson Highway in Kissimmee.
The 7-Eleven store receives a $2,000 bonus commission on the sale of the winning ticket.
The $5 scratch game offers more than $188 million in cash prizes, including 28 grand prizes of $1 million, according to the lottery. The overall odds of winning are 1 in 3.98.
According to the Florida Lottery website20 prizes totaling $1 million remain.
