Forbidden West Update 1.14 Patch Notes Today (June 3rd)

This major update was announced during the State of Play broadcast in June. Most importantly, this brings the New Game +, which allows players another playthrough with all gear and items acquired. If you’ve finished the game, now it’s time to jump back once more.

New properties

We are so thankful for our incredibly talented community and are excited to announce that this major update includes much requested features including:

  • New game+
  • Ultra Hard difficulty when selecting New Game or New Game Plus difficulty.
  • Reset skills function within the menu
  • New feature to give Aloy’s armor a different look.
  • New rewards available in New Game+ (weapons, dyes and face paint)
  • A new trophy set

Fixes and improvements in Horizon Forbidden West update 1.14

performance and stability

  • Improved visual fidelity in Performance mode.
  • Several crash fixes.

main quests

  • Fixed an issue in The Sea of ​​Sand main quest where progress would be blocked when attempting to open the valve.
  • Fixed an issue in The Broken Sky main quest where the quest would get stuck if skipping the movie too quickly.
  • Fixed an issue in The Dying Lands main quest where the quest would not progress after defeating Grimhorn.

side missions

  • Fixed an issue in the Breaking Even side quest where the bars to interact with were not present.

  • Fixed an issue where fast travel to Rebel Outpost: High Turning would send Aloy somewhere else.

  • Fixed an issue where severed machine parts could fall through the ground.

  • Armor health for the Quen Imperial Guard has been reduced to be more in line with the other enemies.

  • Fixed an issue where the level 4 Hammerburst Boltblaster dealt less damage than the level 3 version.

  • Reduced crafting costs for crafting traps at a workbench.
  • Rebalanced the crafting cost of Elite and Advanced traps when crafting in the wild.

  • Resilient Trapper skill has been updated with new stats.
  • Fixed an issue where Empowered Shot was unintentionally empowered.

  • Added filmgrain to photo mode. Grain scales with intensity: low values ​​have little grain, and high values ​​increase the size of the grain, making the higher values ​​particularly useful for black and white experiments.

  • Improved readability of Arena text in Arabic.
