Ryan Reynolds knows the right words when he wants to catch the attention of his fans. The actor took to his Twitter account on December 28 to update his followers about Mint Mobile’s special offer for the holiday season. Reynolds became the owner of Mint Mobile when he reportedly acquired a stake in the wireless company in 2019.
In the tweet, the 46-year-old bribed his fans with the cheap prepaid plan, claiming that if those people buy a plan, they’ll get a few perks. The list, which appears to be inspired by Elon Musk’s Twitter verification rules, includes the recipients who are “mint verified with a green tick.”
Reynolds admitted to his followers that the only tick they would get is through his head wrote, “For only $15 a month, Mint brings you PREMIUM Wireless. You will also be ‘Mint Verified’ with a green tick in my mind.” When fans saw the post, many expressed their opinion that they would get a green tick in Reynolds’ mind.
One Twitter user pointed out that this green tick will dominate the others.
At the same time, another person claimed that a mental tick would be way cooler than the other blue ones they all bought online.
A third social media user revealed that Reynolds’ mental green tick could lead to animosity between him and Twitter CEO Elon Musk.
One person showed love for Reynolds by admitting that the Dead Pool Star “will always have a tick” in the heart.
While it’s unclear if Reynolds’ fans bought any plans from Mint Mobile, his checkmark tactic seemed to have sparked a nice conversation among social media users.
