Fortnite Chapter 1 Map Return is all but confirmed

After many months of rumors and hearsay about what would happen at the end of Fortnite Chapter 4, we are now very close to Season 5. It may not be the Season 5 you were expecting, because that’s pretty much it at this point Confirmed The next Fortnite season, starting November 3rd, will offer us a new version of the Battle Royale map from Chapter 1, Season 5.

There have been so many rumors about the upcoming season, which is expected to last just a month before Chapter 5 begins in December. But the image has come increasingly into focus in recent weeks. And the closest we came to confirmation of these plans was when a content creator was named Salvatretzo posted around a package he received from Epic.

As you can see, the pack includes several pins themed after Chapter 1, Seasons 5 through 10 (X), as well as a new one that simply says “Fortnite OG,” a dog tag with the same Fortnite OG logo, one Vinyl single that plays the old lobby theme and has the Season 5 map engraved on the bottom, as well as a screen playing an old video of the receiver playing Fortnite during the original Season 5.

It’s likely that Salvatretzzo jumped the gun and revealed his box before he should have, because it’s been several days and no one else has posted their box. But it’s only a matter of time because Epic would have shipped a lot of them.

While the broad strokes seem to be pretty well established, there has been some debate among the various Fortnite leakers about the specifics of what’s coming. Even though things seem to be resolved now, you should expect to see the Chapter 1, Season 5 map as it was, with the only major changes Added movement infrastructure such as ziplines for Zero Build players. In addition, there should be one an old school loot pool– all those cool new weapons will disappear in favor of the old fashioned stuff.

And while Zero Build remains, Season 5 could remove all modern movement mechanics like sprinting, mantling and sliding which were added in chapter 3 which seems to be quite annoying.

However, don’t expect the map to stick around in Season 5. The map is expected to change dramatically over the course of this month-long season, updating frequently to reflect the major changes that took place in the rest of Chapter 1 – that’s six seasons to cover in four weeks, so it could be pretty wild. .

While I recently complained about the progression of Fortnite’s story, or lack thereof, the story quests are an issue this season have We worked towards this by introducing Kado Thorne’s time machine at the start of the season and then having her stolen from us and taken to Frenzy Farm. Now, the time machine is currently focused on July 12, 2018 – the first day of Chapter 1, Season 5 – and it has spit out objects from Chapter 1. There is every reason to believe we will return.

While we’re pretty confident we know the basics of next season, there’s a lot we don’t know. Earlier this year there were rumors of a Doctor Who collaboration and a Lego collaboration related to this shortened season – Doctor Who would make perfect sense for a time travel plot, and Lego would make sense with an ever-changing map. But those rumors have completely died down, and there’s been no word recently about a collaboration for Season 5. The Lego collaboration, for whatever it’s worth, is definitely happening and has been openly discussed by Epic. Maybe it just won’t happen in the next, unusually structured season.

Will there be a battle pass for this small season? Will it be full of remix skins from Chapter 1? These are questions we have no idea about. But Season 5 is now less than two weeks away, so we don’t have to wait too long to find out.
