“Gen V Renewed for Season 2: The Boys’ Spin-Off Gets a Second Year”

Prime Video has officially announced that it has renewed its “The Boys” spin-off “Gen V” for a second season. Gen V premiered at the end of September, with the finale of the first season coming on November 3rd. The show introduced a new class of would-be heroes to Godolkin University and stayed true to the brand that fans had come to expect from its predecessor.
Aside from the typical college antics, these young superheroes face high stakes and a sinister conspiracy at their school that causes them to reconsider their aspiring careers and whether the supervillain lifestyle would be easier. You can check out our review here.
“Expanding The Boys universe with a series as bold as Gen V has been an incredible journey for us and our wonderful partners at Sony. From our first conversation with showrunners Michele Fazekas and Tara Butters, along with Eric Kripke, Evan Goldberg and Seth Rogen, we knew Generation V would push the boundaries,” said Vernon Sanders, head of television at Amazon MGM Studios, in a statement Explanation. “Gen V is Prime Video’s highest-grossing new original series of 2023, and we’re excited that our incredible cast and crew will continue to tell bold and bold Gen V stories to our customers.”
The first season cast includes Jaz Sinclair, Chance Perdomo, Lizze Broadway, Shelley Conn, Maddie Phillips, London Thor, Derek Luh, Asa Germann, Patrick Schwarzenegger, Sean Patrick Thomas and Marco Pigossi. Gen V also features guest stars Clancy Brown and Jason Ritter, as well as Jessie T. Usher, Colby Minifie, Claudia Doumit and PJ Byrne, reprising their roles from The Boys, including a cameo from Jensen Ackles as Solider Boy .
“We couldn’t be happier to be making a second season of Gen V,” added showrunner Michele Fazekas and executive producer Eric Kripke. “These are characters and stories we’ve grown to love, and we’re excited that people feel the same way! The writers are already working on the new season – the second year is going to be wild, with all the twists, heart, satire, and exploding genitals as you’d expect from the show.”
