“General Hospital”: Marcus Coloma Leaves as Prince Nikolas – Recast

General Hospital Loses a Prince: Marcus Coloma is leaving the ABC daytime soap opera after a three-year stint as Prince Nikolas Cassadine.

“Marcus Coloma will no longer play the role of Nikolas Cassadine. His last air date will be at the end of January,” the show confirms Soap Opera Digest. (Daytime Confidential was the first to report the outcome, adding that Coloma “refused to film his final scenes after learning he had been fired.”)

Coloma has played Nikolas since 2019. The role was created by Tyler Christopher in 1996, with a number of other actors playing Nikolas over the years, including Coltin Scott and Nick Stabile. It is not yet known when or if the role will be re-cast.
