Screen Rant – 4/5

PC Gamer – 65/100

“Ghostrunner 2 was an opportunity to trim the fat from an already good game to create something truly great. Instead, we’re dealing with a seven-hour game in a fourteen-hour jacket. Your playing time will depend on factors like…” It’s all about your skill and determination to hunt for collectibles, but the point is, all that extra material keeps getting in your way. — Luke Kemp [Full review]

IGN – 9/10

“The best sequels are the ones that recapture what made the original great while expanding on those elements to make them feel bigger, grander, and more exciting than their predecessors. That’s exactly what Ghostrunner 2 manages to do. This is still a first-person one-hit-kill slasher where – to quote my review of the first part – you have to run fast, slide fast, kill fast, and if you don’t do these things fast enough can do, you will die quickly. But now you can do all that while also occasionally driving an absolutely awesome motorcycle, and with a wider range of ninja tricks to suit your play style. Combine that with a much more fleshed out world, excellent level variety, fantastic bosses, and more. An immersive soundtrack to underline the action, and you have one of the most exciting action games of the year. — Mitchell Saltzman [Full review]

VG247 – 4/5

“When I sit back and think about why I like Ghostrunner 2 so much, I’ve come to the firm conclusion that it’s because OneMoreLevel’s dedication to making a game with the ‘rule of cool’ in mind is based on my personal tastes For those who enjoy an unashamed love of katanas and cybernetic augmentation (whether guilty or not), Ghostrunner 2 pours the gravy you love right down your throat. If something like that isn’t for you, then I’d even bet Ghostrunner 2’s great action platformer won’t be able to convince you. — Connor Makar [Full review]

PCGamesN – 9/10

“Ghostrunner 2 is a dream come true. One More Level takes what made the original great, expands on it, and makes the overall experience better. It maintains its level of difficulty without being too punishing, and its build variety offers an impressive amount of customization options, all wrapped up in beautiful scenery with a simply brilliant soundtrack. I love being proven wrong, and Ghostrunner 2 did that. The city waits, my friends; Go and save her – I promise you, it’s worth it.” — Lauren Bergin [Full review]

Game Informer – 8.5/10

“Although Ghostrunner 2 falters in a number of ways, such as its more open sections and unnecessary wingsuit, the hours outside of these missteps are where its top-notch parkour action remains. And like its predecessor, it remains a damn treat.” — Wesley LeBlanc [Full review]
