Ginni Thomas Acquitted of Abortion Leaks in SCOTUS Inquiry

Ginni Thomas, a conservative activist and wife of Justice Clarence Thomas, appears to have been acquitted of the US Supreme Court investigation into who leaked the draft opinion on last year’s Dobbs decision.

“During the investigation, I spoke to each of the judges, several times. The judges actively participated in this iterative process, asking questions and answering mine. I have followed up all credible leads, none of which involved the judges or their spouses,” Supreme Court Marshal Gail Curley said in a statement Friday.

“On that basis, I did not find it necessary to ask the judges to sign affidavits,” Curley added.

Curley’s comments came after some Twitter users on Thursday expressed their doubts about whether the judges in the inquiry were being investigated to find out who was responsible for leaking the draft opinion.

SCOTUS said Thursday its investigation was unable to determine who leaked the draft opinion, but that conclusion has sparked criticism over whether or not the judges were interviewed on the bench.

The Supreme Court released an unsigned statement concluding it was unable to establish the identity of the person responsible for the leak or explain how Politically ended up having the design.

The publication reported in May that in Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organizationthe Supreme Court was poised to overturn the landmark 1973 ruling Roe v. calf– a report corroborated by a draft opinion by Judge Samuel Alito, which the outlet released.

Social media users on Thursday expressed their doubts about Thursday’s conclusion by the court that it was not possible to find out who leaked the draft opinion, including web developer Matt Ortega, who suggested it could be Judge Thomas behind it could be stuck in the leak.

“Probably the one whose wife is a paid right-wing activist who talks to her husband about it and played a role in an attempted coup.” said Ortegareferring to Ginni trying to help former President Donald Trump overturn the results of the 2020 election.

Meanwhile, journalist Sydney Bauer tweeted on Thursday, “They definitely didn’t question the judiciary that leaked that.”

“Sit Alito and [Justice Clarence] Thomas under a lie detector and see how quickly they get to the bottom of it,” another user wrote.

Attorney Michael Chertoff, a former Secretary of Homeland Security, was consulted by the court to assess his investigation, and after his “thorough” review, Chertoff said he could not identify any additional investigative action that could have been taken in this investigation, the authorities said SCOTUS Statement.
