“Glass Onion” had one of the biggest premieres in streaming history

Fear it, run from it, hide from it, Rian Johnson is coming anyway. Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery has now been confirmed to have had one of the biggest ever premieres of the streaming era.

The Daniel Craig mystery was an early Christmas present for many, and the film ended the year on an all-time high for cinema. Johnson’s usual subversive and loving filmmaking style again proved to be a trump card glass onion saw excellent reviews almost everywhere.

The venture into bringing the series to Netflix in an exclusive way is now viewed entirely as a win. Few would have predicted just how big the success would be, especially considering Johnson rang the bell online afterwards The Last Jedi. He’s proven himself to be a fine filmmaker once again, and this knife out Movies seem to be his main work.

glass onion was also far ahead of streamed series such as jack ryan and Wednesday, both of whom had very strong stakes in the same debut phase. Where next knife out 3Johnson is determined to trump and once again undermine and reinvent himself.

Both glass onion and Wednesday both can be streamed on Netflix while Threequel is currently in development.
