Good fight: Will Alicia from Julianna Margulies make an appearance in the final season 6?
Don’t expect Julianna Margulies to take part in the mini-parade of good wife Vets appear in The Good Fightis the sixth and final season.
Following last week’s news that Season 6 will serve as the swan song for the legal spinoff (read the full story here), co-creator Michelle King told TVLine that a guest appearance by Margulies’ Alicia Florrick was not in the offing.
“We don’t expect her to come back,” claims the EP.
A previous attempt to lure Margulies into it The Good Fight for a three-episode arc in Season 3 fell apart over money when the actress told our sister bar Deadline in 2019 that the streamer (then CBS All Access) “refused” to pay her the per-episode salary that she earned on The good wife. Instead, she claimed they offered her a guest star award.
“I’m not a guest star; I started the whole thing The good wife‘ Margulies said at the time. “I wanted to get my value and advocate for equal pay. When Jon Hamm came back for a mad Men Spin-off or Kiefer Sutherland wanted to do one 24 spin-off, they would get paid.”
Julie McNamara, the streamer’s EVP of Original Content at the time, later confirmed, “We did want to bring [Margulies] to guest The Good Fight. [But] it was different [financial] Anticipating what that meant and it didn’t work out… It was just a deal that didn’t work out.”
As previously reported, several good wife Alums will show up The Good Fight in Season 6, most notably Alan Cumming (reprising his role as Eli Gold) and Carrie Preston (returning as Elsbeth Tascioni).
