If the Bucks weren’t already fed up with Grant Williams for playing six games in a matter of weeks, the Celtics forward found a new way to tease them in Game 7.

In the second quarter, Boston put on an 18-6 run that gave them a 32-30 lead after being as much as 10 behind in the first quarter. After a time out from Bucks, Williams went to the Bucks and decided to listen for a few seconds. He placed his head perfectly between Jrue Holiday’s and Wes Matthews’ shoulders to listen closely.

Williams had an interesting first half. Milwaukee appeared to plan their defense on purpose so that Williams main defense Brook Lopez left the Boston forward open at the 3-point line to deflect shots at the basket. Willingly yielding to the looks he was getting, Williams took eight 3-pointers and made three of them.

He had a stretch where he missed a couple of straight games but rallied to finish on 11 points in the first half, giving the Celtics a 48-43 lead at the break. Grant Williams sneaks up on Bucks’ group in Game 7
