Gunman kills five people in Texas home, authorities say

At least five people were fatally shot, including an 8-year-old child, and three others were injured late Friday night at a home north of Houston, authorities said, adding that the gunman remained at large.
Four people were pronounced dead at the scene in Cleveland, Texas, and a fifth person died at the hospital, the San Jacinto County Sheriff’s Office said. Three other people remained hospitalized as of Saturday morning.
The sheriff’s office said it received a call just after 11:30 p.m. Friday reporting harassment. When officers responded to the home, they found several gunshot victims, Sheriff Greg Capers told local news reporters. Two victims were found on the front door, he said, and another in the living room. Sheriff Capers added that the bodies of two women were found in a bedroom lying on top of two children, both of whom survived.
The victims were all from Honduras, the sheriff said, adding that 10 people were inside the home at the time of the shooting.
Sheriff Capers said authorities believe they have identified the suspected shooter and that a manhunt is underway. He said authorities believed the shooter was no longer in the area.
