HEB offers grocery delivery on campus at UT Austin

Students, faculty and staff can now receive their groceries, cleaning supplies and more directly to their dormitories or classrooms.
Austin, Texas – HEB expands and adds to its delivery hub locations University of Texas at Austin campus on his list.
Students, faculty and staff can now receive their groceries, health and wellness items, cleaning supplies and more directly to their dormitories or classrooms.
“The ability to offer this service is a great resource for students who don’t have time to shop or who don’t have transportation off campus, and helps them easily get the groceries and supplies they need,” said Soncia Reagins-Lilly, Vice President for Student Affairs and Dean of Studies.
Campus members can place orders through the HEB app or website and have the items delivered to a selected location. When ordering, delivery on the same day is also possible.
“For more than a century, HEB and UT Austin have shared a mission to strengthen Texas through education excellence, a commitment to diversity and efforts to strengthen our communities,” said Kelsey Evans, the university’s executive director of corporate relations. “As we look to the future and the changing face of retail, we are proud to become one of HE-B’s newest campus delivery hubs, a move that will ensure all Longhorns have access to affordable nutrition.”
Grocery delivery is coordinated by Favor, an Austin-based grocery delivery service. Favor drivers can park at four designated locations along campus, including Jester Circle, Jester Residence Hall, Kinsolving Residence Hall, and Bass Concert Hall.
After an order is placed and a Favor Driver is on the way to deliver it, a text message is sent allowing the person who ordered their groceries to coordinate with their Favor Driver on an exact pickup location. Door-to-door delivery is also available for students living off campus.
“HEB has been a proud sponsor of academic programs and research at the University of Texas since 1976 and is fortunate to have hundreds of Longhorns working at our company today,” said Laura Estes, Director of Marketing for HEB in Central Texas. “Over the years, our partnership has become a source of pride for both organizations. With that in mind, we started on-campus HEB delivery to the University of Texas at Austin community. As a former Longhorn, I hope this added benefit becomes a widespread convenience for all students.”
HEB has contributed over $6.6 million in donations to support programs and research at UT.
