Smash Mouth once sang, “The years are beginning to come and they won’t stop coming,” and so far that seems to be true of Taylor Sheridans yellowstone TV universe. Paramount+ has announced that Helen Mirren and Harrison Ford will join a new generation of the Dutton family 1932 (working title), the latest “origin story” for Sheridan’s record-breaking series thereafter 1883a one-off prequel starring Tim McGraw and Faith Hill. According to a press release 1932 will “explore the early twentieth century as pandemics, historic droughts, the end of Prohibition and the Great Depression ravage the West Mountain and the Duttons who call it home.” The upcoming prequel will be co-produced by MTV Entertainment Studios, 101 Studios and Produced by Bosque Ranch Productions. According to Paramount+, 1932 is scheduled to begin streaming on the platform in December. (According to yellowstonewe just have to hope it’s that easy.) For now, we’re excited to hear how Mirren and Ford’s best western accents match McGraw and Hill’s.
