Plumb, who works as a security guard at Pinnacles Shopping Center in Harlow, Essex, appeared in one in 2018 BBC Weight loss documentary.

He tipped the scales at 35 pounds after gorging on fast food and drinking 36 pints of coke a week.

The former Pizza Hut and McDonald’s employee said he was unable to leave his apartment for at least years due to its size.

Plumb said the last time he was able to go out alone was in 2014 when his parents renewed their vows.

After that, all he could do was put the trash cans out before going back inside.

He said: “It’s a vicious circle. When I’m depressed, I eat – and when I eat, I’m depressed.”

“For a long time I found it difficult to walk around. But when I got to the point where I couldn’t go out anymore, it really started to make itself felt.”

“If I need to go to the doctor for tests, I need four people to help me down the stairs and into the hospital transport.

“I hate sitting inside. I hate looking at the same four walls 24/7. I hate being as tall as I am.”

“I have pain pretty much everywhere. I’m getting chest pains and I’ve just been told it’s because of my weight, I’m done.

Plumb told the publication that he was given a gastric band and was on a liquid diet to lose weight.

He appeared at Chelmsford Magistrates Court today to face charges naming This Morning presenter Holly as the alleged kidnapper Goal.

It is alleged that Plumb was in possession of “weapons” and conspired with another American resident to carry out the “detailed plan”.

According to the charges, he “requested, encouraged, persuaded, attempted or suggested” that Holly be murdered.

It also said Plumb encouraged the US-based man to travel to the UK and “assembled an abduction and bondage plot capable of encouraging or assisting in the commission of the abduction of Holly Willoughby”.

The defendant, who was wearing a green T-shirt with the words “Aged to Perfection,” was taken into custody next appears at Chelmsford Crown Court on November 3.
