As Love Island USA is a reality dating show, it’s easy to believe the drama and romance between the islanders is fabricated. Season 4 fan favorites and OG cast members Deb Chubb and Zeta Morrison shared their experiences with the producers in a recent Instagram Q&A, revealing how much they influence the group. Casa Amor bombshell Tigerlily Cooley has also opened up about her short-lived stint on the series, noting that she disappeared from the episodes after having an “awkward” encounter with an unnamed islander.

In a clip posted to Reddit, the reality personalities revealed how much of an impact the production has had on them. Zeta explained that while producers are speaking to you, they leave your choices up to you.

Deb agreed, adding that they are “on your side” and tend to “push you”. She explained that she struggles to stand up for herself and noted that she finds herself in situations where she has to.
According to Zeta, even though they’re producers and have a job to do, they can’t “force” anyone to do anything.

She also gave the crew behind her island of love “Kudos”, calling them “fair” even though they have a story to tell.
Deb clarified that producers want to know about certain conversations so they can help the cameramen, not to influence anyone or change their minds.
When asked how much of it is edited, Zeta pointed out that “it’s a show” they all signed up for willingly. However, she added that no one could use anything that was not given to them.
Finally, the London native admitted he isn’t allowed to “speak freely” about everything that’s going on behind the scenes as the show needs to “maintain the magic of the production.”
Tigerlily Cooley shared a bad production experience during her time on the show
Deb and Zeta had good experiences with the production, others didn’t. For example, claimed Tigerlily Cooley She was “slut-shamed” by an unnamed islander for rejecting his “sexual advances” after he repeatedly overstepped her boundaries.
According to Tigerlily, the show responded by deleting her from future episodes, with the final clip showing her sleeping alone in the Hideaway Suite.
The former islander went on to blame the production for preventing her from attending the reunion and accessing post-show opportunities.
While she didn’t name the person, many viewers suspected she was referring to Jeff Christian as the two who were linked during Casa Amor before abruptly announcing his dedication to current partner Nadjha Day. Also, she’s since “liked” comments from followers, seemingly confirming his identity. Love Island USA Season 4 can be viewed on Peacock.
