How The Witcher’s Explosive Blood Origin Ending And Post-Credits Scene Set Up Season 3

Although there are only four episodes, there’s a lot to unpack The Witcher: Origin of the Bloodbut we will try to give you an overview of everything that happened in this finale and its post-credits scene.

In the last episode, the first witcher, Fjall, infiltrates the palace with Scian. The Empress asks Fjall to join her, but the prototype witcher, in a fit of rage, begins killing the guards. Then the enigmatic alien monster takes the stage, forcing Fjall to fight him and setting the precedent for all who will follow this new profession.

Éile kills the empress in revenge and makes his way to the hall where Fjall fights the monster. Eventually, after transforming into something even stronger, Fjall manages to defeat the beast for good. Éile kills Fjall by stabbing him, breaking the curse and freeing him from his monster form.

Meanwhile, Lenny Henry’s antagonist battles Syndril and Zacaré to gain control of the monolith, but the protagonists shatter the monolith and unravel the chaos energy that is creating the infamous conjunction of the spheres in the first place.

As a result, the monsters from other parts of the multiverse emerge from the portals and wreak havoc on the land, while the first humans also reach the continent. Eredin lives while Éile is confirmed to be pregnant with Fjall’s baby. The seer who last prophesied her fate touches Éile’s stomach and announces a doom that is to come for one of her blood, presumably Geralt of Rivia.

In the post-credits scene, Avallac’h time travels more than a thousand years into the future. There, she menacingly watches over a younger Ciri, contemplating her abilities as Elder Blood while playing with some of her friends in Cintra, leading to the events of The Witcher season three.
