Hugh Jackman and Ryan Reynolds may be best friends, but the A-list duo loves nothing more than to fool each other whenever the opportunity arises. So there’s a chance that art will imitate life when the two of the Marvel Cinematic Universe reunite dead pool 3.
For a long time it felt like we’d never get a chance to see the online enemies bring their long-standing game of supremacy to the superhero genre, with Jackman holding on and holding on to his guns logan definitively marked the end of the road for his iconic tenure as a mutant-chopped mutant.
Thankfully, the MCU is right in the middle of the Multiverse saga – where branching timelines and pocket universes are not only accepted, but actively encouraged – leaving the events of its classic last stand unsullied. We’re curious to see how Wolverine and Deadpool enter each other’s orbits in the film, but Jackman admitted to Empire that they’re miles from being canon BFFs.
“10 is very close, zero is the reality – that’s us. we are zero We are opposites. hate each other. I’m just speaking out – let’s speak from my perspective. [Wolverine’s] annoyed by [Deadpool]. frustrated with him. Wants to be a million miles away from him or smack him on the head. So… I’ll probably smack him on the head a lot. In a way they are opposites. My vinegar to his…like he’s the fast-talking, quick-witted loudmouth and my character just wants to smack him on the head.”
We have a weird feeling that Wolverine will likely make good on his promise to punch Deadpool in the head multiple times before the credits roll, but we’d be lying if we said it was a multiversal buddy comedy with R- A two-star rating of the most popular and popular comic book favorites of modern times wasn’t an enticing prospect. The only bad thing is that we have to wait until November 2024 to see it.
