If you want a slim vertical stand for the PS5, you’ll need to purchase it separately

The slimmer PS5 model launches next month and while it does have a stand, there’s only one option available.

When Sony announced the slimmer form factor yesterday and confirmed that the new model features a horizontal stand; However, if you prefer to place your console vertically, you will have to pay for this option.

According to the price breakdown, the vertical stand is sold separately for $29.99, €29.99, £24.99, or ¥3,980.

The console itself costs $499.99 for the Ultra HD Blu-ray Disc Drive model and $449.99 for the Digital Edition. That means if you want a vertical stand, you’ll have to pay about $30 extra, and even more if you buy the Digital Edition and later opt for an Ultra HD Blu-ray Disc drive.

Both PlayStation 5 Slim models have 1TB of storage and are scheduled to launch in November. No specific date has been given for regions other than Japan, where it launches on November 10th.
