I’m still haunted by Jimmy Savile’s creepy comments on Big Brother… it’s scary to watch again, says Chantelle

Chantelle Houghton shudders as she watches her interactions with sick pedophile Jimmy Savile on Celebrity Big Brother.
A clip of the disgraced pedophile’s appearance on Celebrity Big Brother in 2006 recently resurfaced after Steve Coogan recreated the moment in BBC drama The Reckoning.
His performance was a moment that 40-year-old Chantelle, who won this CBB series, has never forgotten.
In an exclusive interview with The Sun, she reveals exactly what happened when she met Savile and why she hopes the monster “rots in hell with worms eating his eyes.”
Savile, who raped hundreds of people over the course of his life, including children, entered the CBB house in 2006 as part of a mission to help the housemates “sort things out” and raised £150,000 for the bagged a two-day performance.
His horrific crimes were only revealed after his death in 2011.
Of his arrival, Chantelle remembers: “Obviously nobody knew anything at the time, so it was a bit of a ‘wow’ moment when he walked in.”
“It was Sir Jimmy Savile, wasn’t it? When he entered the house, the excitement was simply electric. He was this iconic guy, it was just exciting.
“It felt like an absolute honor to meet him at the time.
“Of course he dressed a bit strangely, but you missed all that because it was Sir Jimmy Savile.
“He was funny, he was charming, he was full of stories. Everyone sat and listened to his every word and you could see how fascinated they were by him, especially Michael Barrymore, Preston and Pete Burns.
“He came into the house for a day, didn’t sleep there, left at the end of the day and came back the next morning. And we couldn’t wait for him to come back!”
“It makes my blood run cold”
When he first arrived at the Borehamwood bungalow, Savile made a number of strange remarks as he greeted attendees.
He particularly said to former Coronation Street actress Rula Lenska: “I would want to marry all of you ladies for at least 24 hours.”
Then he turned to Chantelle, took her hand and kissed it.
During the scary interaction, he said, “I know a lot of people love you, but they don’t love you with the sincerity and tenderness that I do.”
As Chantelle giggled awkwardly, the disgraced radio and TV presenter added: “I always tell the truth, even when I’m lying.”
After recently rewatching the moment, Chantelle says she feels horror and disgust.
“Now of course we know what and who he really was, that literally makes my blood run cold,” she tells us.
“But it also makes my blood boil because I wish I had known what he was back then and I really wish he had known that we all knew who he was before he died.”
She continues: “I just think what he said to me was really scary.
“He obviously knew what he was really saying when he said, ‘I always tell the truth, even when I lie.’
“It’s just really creepy and I feel pretty disgusted that I was even in his presence, that he kissed my hand and said those vile things to me.
“It really makes me angry for the victims.”
“I hope he rots in hell.”
Chantelle admits what also makes her angry is the fact that no one found him scary back then.
“It was just a matter of watching it back,” she says. “Like I said, when I first met him I didn’t think he was scary.
“I have to admit, if you saw him walking down the street and he wasn’t Jimmy Savile, you’d probably think he looked a bit strange in what he was wearing.
“But because he was Sir Jimmy Savile he was untouchable. He could get away with a lot of things, and he got away with a lot of things.
“It literally makes me so angry and sick and I really feel for the victims who may have been watching at home and knew exactly what he was really like.

“And the audacity that he had the nerve to go on TV and think he was untouchable, and he seemed untouchable until he was dead and we all found out the truth.”
She concludes: “I think he’s a perverted pedophile and I hope he rots in hell while those poor worms eat his eyes.”
