Amazon driver stomps on box shortly after delivery in SoCal

SANTA FE SPRINGS, Calif. (KABC) — A doorbell video captured the shocking sight of an Amazon driver repeatedly stomping on a package shortly after delivering it to a home in Southern California.

The driver can be seen leaving the package at the front door, taking a photo of the intact box, then taking it out and jumping on it several times.

The homeowner was stunned as she reviewed her footage.

“I heard a bang outside and was like, ‘What the hell is that?'” Mandy Martinez said. “Then I heard a bigger bang.”

Martinez was working from her home in Santa Fe Springs on Monday when she heard the noise outside.

She checked her Nest camera. Even though the driver steps behind a pillar, it’s clear he’s trampling on her package, a Wi-Fi routing system she ordered. Then he threw it hard back onto her porch.

“I really want to know what he was thinking? For example, why he decided to do this.”

When Mandy stepped outside, the driver had already disappeared.

She contacted Amazon and the company agreed to replace the $350 router.

No word on what consequences the driver will face. ABC7 has reached out to Amazon for comment but has not yet heard back.

The motive behind his actions also remains a mystery. Neighbors say they don’t remember seeing him making deliveries in the area before.
