“Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny” will be released on Disney Plus in December along with a new documentary

Lucasfilm has announced that Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny will soon be coming to Disney+. The action-adventure film, starring Harrison Ford in what may be his final appearance as Indiana Jones, is coming to the streaming service on December 1st.

Not only does the film premiere on Disney+ that day, but a feature-length documentary called “Timeless Heroes: Indiana Jones and Harrison Ford” will also be released. You can watch a trailer for the documentary below.

“Timeless Heroes” is directed by Laurent Bouzereau, whose previous directing credits include the “Making of” videos for the previous Indiana Jones films. This latest documentary looks at Ford’s casting as Indiana Jones, the films’ cultural impact, and more about Ford’s life and career. It will feature interviews with Ford, Steven Spielberg, George Lucas, Kathleen Kennedy, Frank Marshall and James Gold, as well as previously unseen footage from Ford’s career.

“Dial of Destiny” was released in theaters in May and grossed more than $380 million worldwide. The film will reportedly have a hard time turning a profit, but box office performance is only part of the equation in terms of overall revenue and profit for a given property.

In addition to Ford as Jones, “The Dial of Destiny” also stars Phoebe Waller-Bridge, Mads Mikkelsen, Antonio Banderas and Boyd Holbrook. The series’ previous entries, Raiders of the Lost Ark, Temple of Doom, The Last Crusade and Kingdom of the Crystal Skull, are also available on Disney+.
