Over the last 17 years, she has experienced some breathtaking storylines such as being a victim of serial killer Stephen Reid, being kidnapped, having a lover who raped her, struggling with alcoholism, having an affair and much more.

It’s safe to say there was never a dull moment with this character.

Alison, on the other hand, leads a more reserved, comfortable and normal life than Carla on the Cobbles.

But they say there’s never sunshine without rain, right?

The 50-year-old has dated a handful of her soap costars, some younger, some older, and was even close to walking down the aisle before calling it quits.

So let’s start from the beginning, to when Alison was 18 and working in a surf shack.

Shortly afterwards she worked as a dental nurse for four years before studying at the North Cheshire Theater School at the age of 22.

A few years later, Alison began her journey into the world of show business when she became a model in the late 1990s and was even the face of Boddington beer and appeared in several Daz commercials.

Her first big break as an actress came when she was cast in Brookside, the Channel 4 soap, now returning after 20 years as a hair salon worker.

But one of her most famous roles was as Lynda Block on Sky One’s Dream Team – it was here that she met one of her lovers, co-star Jim Alexander, to whom she then became engaged, but that wasn’t all.

Let’s not forget how she played Mrs Fanshaw in Coronation Street in 2004.

Alison played a one-off character who seduced Ryan Thomas’ character Jason Grimshaw. How could we forget this terrible scene?

Shortly thereafter, she landed a permanent role as Carl Connor and officially joined in 2006.

Off-camera, the actress was previously engaged to Adam Huckett, who worked as a sound engineer on the ITV soap, and shares her 14-year-old daughter Daisy with him.

The couple separated in 2016 and never made it to the altar.

After a five-year relationship, Alison later married Corrie co-star Philip Middlemiss, who played Des Barnes.

Alison was spotted with a new “mystery man” in November 2018, who she eventually identified as David Stuckley, an IT professional nine years her junior. A year later they announced their engagement to OK! known. Magazine.

It was then reported in May 2022 that the couple had split up after “growing apart” during the lockdown.

According to reports, the star is now single and enjoying her life.

This comes after Alison’s ex-fiancé revealed he was expecting a baby with his new girlfriend after they split earlier in May this year.

The 50-year-old Coronation Street star split from her 41-year-old toyboy David Stuckey just 12 months ago.
