Insight into Kevin McCloud’s love life – from his separation from his wife of 23 years to his secret wedding and four children

Take a look into the personal life of Channel 4 star Kevin McCloud.
The 64-year-old fan-favorite designer, TV host and father of four has reportedly been married twice – although his second marriage is something of a secret.
Kevin became a household name after he began hosting Grand Designs in the 1990s. Channel 4’s home renovation and design show has been a constant on television for almost a quarter of a century.
He recently told Metro.co.uk that he was “amazed” the show was still running.
“When we did the first series, producer John Silver and I looked at each other and asked ourselves if we would be commissioned again and if so, where would we find the projects, because we thought we had certainly covered everything… after six episodes.” Kevin continued.
“Now we have a policy of not repeating ourselves, which makes it a little more difficult to find the projects, but they are coming in and that’s great because we can choose things that we like and that are still exemplary,” added he added.
But while Kevin’s career has been going smoothly and a new season of Grand Designs is currently airing, his love life has been full of ups and downs.
The TV star has four children, reportedly from three different relationships, endured a public failed marriage and secretly tied the knot again.
Although some of this has been reported in the media, Kevin is not interested in revealing too much of his personal life in interviews or on social media.
“The more of your private life you expose to the public, the smaller your private life becomes,” he told the Daily Mail in 2010, adding: “It’s important to keep a bit of mystique.”
Kevin has certainly done that over the years, but there’s still a lot to know about his complex love life.
Kevin McCloud was married to Suzanna McCloud for 23 years
Kevin’s first wife and mother of two of his children is Suzanna McCloud, better known as Zani.
Zani is an interior designer who McCloud met before his Channel 4 fame. They married in 1996.
The former couple shares two adult children; Milo and Elsie. They shared a 500-year-old farmhouse near Bruton in Somerset, where they raised their children.
From the outside, it looked like a picture-perfect life, but that picture came crashing down when Kevin announced their separation in December 2019 after 23 years of marriage.
A spokesman for Kevin said: “I can confirm that Kevin and Suzanna have unfortunately separated. We will have no further comment.”
According to Daily Mail, Kevin took his belongings and left her family’s home, leaving Suzanna heartbroken.
One of Suzanna’s friends told the publication: “Zani is completely devastated. One day she came home and found Kevin had taken his things and left.”
Kevin had previously admitted that he was very difficult to live with, saying he was “terribly picky” and that he liked “symmetry and neatness, but my house is just as messy as any other family’s.”
Kevin McCloud secretly remarried
Five years after his breakup with Zani, Kevin remarried. The Daily Mail reported that he tied the knot with businesswoman Jenny Jones in a secret wedding ceremony in the fall of 2022.
They made their relationship public a year earlier after a rep for Kevin confirmed his divorce was official.
One of Kevin’s pals confirmed the secret wedding, revealing in November: “They just got back from [their] Honeymoon.”
Little is known about Kevin’s new bride as the couple is notoriously private. She is believed to be a British businesswoman, although it is not clear what business or industry she is in.
Who are Kevin’s children: Hugo, Grace, Milo and Elsie?
Kevin McCloud has four children, all of whom are now adults. He shares son Milo and daughter Elsie with his ex-wife Zani, while he has another son and daughter, Hugo and Grace, from two previous relationships.
Kevin has shared very little information about his children publicly, but Hello reported that Milo was born in 1997. He developed a keen interest in skiing and was part of the Alpine U21 England Development Squad, according to the outlet.
Now it’s more of a hobby, according to his X-bio (formerly Twitter) “British ski racer in his spare time”. Today he is co-founder of the marketing and advertising company Paradox UK.

Hugo now works as an architect like his father. He worked with his sister Grace The modern house, which chronicled her journey building an end terraced house in south-east London. Grace is now senior content editor at real estate agency Inigo.
From Grace’s social media, it appears that there is a close bond between the four siblings. To mark the belated National Siblings Day, she posted a sweet photo of the four of them from her childhood on Instagram with the caption: “My siblings are so wonderful, even though it’s no longer National Siblings Day.”
