Into the Spider-Verse is a multiverse extravaganza

The first poster of Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse was revealed and it explodes with multiverse characters.
The poster was shared by the Across the Spider-Verse official account and features young web-slinger Miles Morales hanging upside down front and center with a torn costume and a somber expression on his face. Behind him are a variety of Spider-People including Spider-Woman, voiced by Issa Rae; Spider-Man 2099 voiced by Oscar Isaac; Spider-Punk, voiced by Daniel Kaluuya; and Spider-Gwen, voiced by Hailee Steinfeld.
The continuation of the promised Into the Spider-Verse will plunge Miles and his allies into an even greater conflict than before. Spider-Gwen takes him on an adventure as Spider-Miles and Spider-Gwen reunite and find themselves in a multiversal nexus of Spider-People tasked with protecting these alternate realities. However, with so many personalities, conflict inevitably arises, and these heroes don’t always agree on how to deal with a new threat.
There are two confirmed antagonists Across the Spider-Verse. One is known as The Spot, known to be a lowly and ridiculous character who appears to be getting a decent upgrade. He can create interdimensional portals and in the trailer you can see him using his abilities effectively, using his special powers to dodge Miles’ attacks.
Spider-Man 2099 will be the other antagonist, although he won’t be as cut and dry as it might seem. Across the Spider-Verse Producer Chris Miller shared that the character often disagrees with Miles because they both think they’re doing the right thing. The two go head-to-head in the trailer, and Spider-Man 2099 definitely gives young Spider-Man a bang for the buck with an onslaught of attacks.
Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse launches in theaters June 2nd only.
