James Gunn’s toughest critic predicts DCU is destined to be “garbage”.

James Gunn may be a seasoned filmmaker whose superhero escapade has ended in acclaim and adoration over the past decade, but fans are finding it extremely difficult to support the filmmaker now that he’s leading the cinematic universe. Now, amidst a deluge of hearsay about Jason Momoa and his future as Aquaman, one of the director’s harshest critics predicts the DCU’s untimely demise.
Speaking of Momoa, the actor is doing his best to shovel coal into the rumor firebox. In a recent interview, the game of Thrones Alum said that it’s entirely possible for him to portray two characters at the same time in the DCU, strange as it might be for those of you who are still into that old thing called continuity.
Meanwhile, it’s been a minute since someone hit Thor: Love and Thunder, so another character in Taika Waititi’s deeply polarizing sequel comes under fire. Check out all of this and more below.
DC fans agree that James Gunn will cast Chris Pratt as one of those two characters
In case you haven’t noticed, the geekdom has little tolerance for Chris Pratt in the MCU, so you can imagine how they’ll react when you tell them that James Gunn will inevitably cast the actor as a character in his DCU roster. When the two are done Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3Pratt will dress up as a member of the Justice League, or at least as an important supporting character.
After days of deliberating the matter, fans are willing to acknowledge that Pratt would be palatable in the DCU on the condition that he play either of these two characters — Guy Gardner and Ted Kord. They’re both superheroes, even resembling Pratt, but of course we know that the infinitely complex and often incomprehensible equations of fan casting have never been about things as simple as physical appearance.
James Cameron breaks an incredible box office record that only James Cameron can hope to one day beat
with Avatar: The Way of Water James Cameron became the sixth film in history to officially surpass $2 billion at the box office. James Cameron is the only living director to have broken that barrier three times. Currently the first of the director avatar Film ranks first in list of highest grossing films of all time, during 1997’s titanic comes third and The way of the water sixth. The other three are Avengers: Endgame, Star Wars: The Force Awakensand Avengers: Infinity War.
Considering film history, it’s safe to say that no filmmaker can pull off this feat for long unless it’s James Cameron himself who can just step in with another blockbuster – even avatar 3 – to break his own record. It seems that when it comes to chart-shattering phenomena, Cameron has no question assuming the throne.
Jason Momoa offers vague hints about his DC future, but it sure sounds like he’s teasing Lobo’s appearance
Jason Momoa has assured fans that he won’t be giving up Aquaman’s trident anytime soon. The actor has guaranteed people that he will always be there to talk to Pisces. At the same time, Momoa couldn’t help but tease that it’s also entirely plausible for him to play another character at the same time, one who’s “funny and wild and charming.” Does that remind you of a certain intergalactic bounty hunter?
“I’m at the Warner Bros. house and they like a lot of the things I do,” he said. “We have a lot of good things ahead of us. I will always be Aquaman. Nobody comes in there and takes shit. Maybe there are other characters too. I can play other things too. I can be fun and wild and charming.”
One of James Gunn’s harshest critics predicts the DCU will be garbage
Becoming head of DC Studios might be the best and worst thing that ever happened to James Gunn. The man has been under a relentless wave of scrutiny since that appointment, and all the rumors floating around out there don’t help either. I mean, Jason Momoa may have put out the last fire by confirming he’ll continue playing Aquaman, but if there’s a chance Gunn will cast him as another character as well, then the DCU is already doomed.
At least, that’s what it’s destined to be, according to YouTuber and film journalist Grace Randolph, who’s a notorious Gunn critic. The two have traded punches in the past, but while it almost seemed like they were ready to put the past to rest, Grace took another swipe at her nemesis by saying that if fans are okay with it that Momoa is portraying both Aquaman and Lobo, then they deserve “the crap you’ll clearly get”.
Thor: Love and Thunder once again devastated for ruin a the potential of the character
Thor: Love and Thunder will probably go down as the most controversial MCU film in its completed history. With the release of Black Panther and the hype around ant man 3we had assumed that people would finally be able to move on and forget Waititi’s mistakes, but alas, it seems so love and thunder shares the same fate as The Last Jedi. Recently, Russell Crowe’s comic relief Zeus has come under fire on Reddit, and most people seem to agree that his character was another of the film’s wasted potentials. For the god of thunder, we have a feeling there won’t be a break from criticism for years to come.
Rick and Morty Fans brace for the worst as shocking DMs from Justin Roiland go viral on social media
Is this the end for Rick and Morty? With Justin Roiland facing serious abuse allegations and his insensitive DMs leaked online, the fandom is preparing for the cancellation of their favorite animated series. Even if Roiland manages to be acquitted in court, there’s no telling whether Adult Swim will be able to continue its partnership with the co-creator. As it is, the network is probably already looking for a replacement, but they know as well as we do that there can’t be one Rick and Morty without Roiland’s iconic voice and writing talent.
