Jasmine Cephas Jones breaks her silence after the death of her father, Ron Cephas Jones.
“Grief. “This is a fight,” she captioned Instagram Post on Wednesday August 30th with a carousel full of retro photos from childhood and beyond. “I keep looking at my phone and want to call you and hear your voice. You listened… you REALLY listened to me. You valued my opinion and never judged me. We all know you were a great actor, but my god you were a damn good dad.”
Jasmine, 34, remarked without apology that the “best gift” she received from her father was “a safe place to just be myself”. “You led me. took care of me Well laughed with me. cried with me sang with me celebrated me studied with me Took care of me…and loved me,” she wrote.
