Jennifer Coolidge reacts to her ongoing awards ceremony

This awards season will undoubtedly go down in history as one of the most memorable of all time, and that’s largely due to the brilliants Jennifer Coolidgewho enjoyed one of the healthiest and most well-deserved sweeps in history.
The actress nailed it with her critically acclaimed role as Tanya McQuoid in the second season of the HBO comedy-drama The White Lotusand has received a Golden Globe and a Critics Choice Award for her performance so far this year.
Speaking exclusively to Entertainment Tonight after last night’s win at the Critics Choice Awards, Coolidge called her sweep the “surprise of a lifetime!” The actress has consistently praised creator and writer Mike White for giving her the opportunity to be in to be a part of the project and supported her return to the limelight.
“I feel so alive, you know? You go through your life just assuming that you are used to walking a certain path and you just take whatever that baggage is and that it will never change.
When the supporting award categories were announced at the same time, the actress accepted her award along with Giancarlo Esposito, who won for his role in Better call Saul. Coolidge’s speeches are also popular with many fans, particularly on social media, who find her mix of shock and gratitude particularly endearing. She has also continued to express her gratitude and shared that her wins are a sign that no one should give up.
“I know you’ve heard a lot from me over the last month or two, but I just want to say that this is such an honor. This really is as good as it gets. The critics come not only from the west coast and the east coast, but from all over the country. I just want to say thank you It’s not over until it’s over, it’s not over until you’re dead.”
Coolidge admitted she often watches these awards shows at home, and suddenly, overnight, her life changed. While fans have had to say goodbye to her character in season two, it definitely sparks renewed interest in the incredible actress. For her work in the first season, she won the 2022 Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama Series, and she also remains a favorite for the 2023 ceremony, with nominations as of July 12.
