Joe Biden’s reaction to the crying baby compared to Donald Trump

President Joe Biden on Wednesday responded to a crying baby who interrupted his speech by saying, “Kids are allowed to do that to me.”

Liberal media company MeidasTouch posted a video on

Biden’s interlude with the baby came during a speech in rural Minnesota in which he spoke about pressing Israel to comply with international laws protecting civilians in conflict. The baby cried out just as he spoke of “devastating images from Gaza” and “Palestinian children crying for their lost parents.”

“It’s okay. Kids can do that with me,” Biden said. “Don’t worry about it… Is it him or her? I don’t blame her.”

The footage used by MeidasTouch of Trump talking over a crying toddler was taken at a rally in Northern Virginia in August 2016, when he was running as the Republican presidential candidate against Democrat Hillary Clinton.

Trump initially seemed to indicate that the baby didn’t upset him.

“Don’t worry about the baby. I love babies,” he said. “I hear the baby crying, I like it. What a baby. What a beautiful baby.”

Trump then mimicked the mother’s nervous impression and told her not to worry.

“Don’t worry about it, you know?” he said. “It’s young and beautiful and healthy, and that’s what we want.”

Trump continued his remarks on China and trade before becoming distracted again by the baby. At this point he asked the mother to leave.

“Actually it was just a joke, you can get the baby out of here,” he said.

He added: “It’s okay, don’t worry. I think she really believed me that I love it when a baby cries while I talk. That’s fine. People don’t understand that.”

The MeidasTouch post on Several people took to the comments section to denounce Biden for his support of Israel, but most commenters praised the president for his response to the baby. Others took the opportunity to make fun of Trump.

“I imagine Trump can’t stand a baby or a puppy unless it’s made of gold,” one person wrote.

“The orange one is always worried that people will notice the resemblance between him and crying babies,” another person said.

However, MeidasTouch was criticized in some comments for the video.

“You should call yourself IdiotsTouch,” one Trump supporter said.
