Jon Bon Jovi reveals the ‘Horrible, Horrible’ video that still baffles him

Rock icon Jon Bon Jovi has a lot to be proud of in his four-decade career, but he admitted there’s one element that still makes him cringe today.

He called the video for “Runaway,” the band’s first Top 40 hit, “awful, awful.”

He said that with the third album he landed on a new approach.

“We were smart enough to find out that the live show would just be promoted with a video,” he said, adding that these later videos were used for tracks like “You Give Love A Bad Name” and “Livin’ On A Prayer.” around which the band’s live performances are built. “That’s when we realized that that’s all that matters.”
