Brown rose to fame in 2014 after posting covers online. Through crowdfunding, the singer raised enough money to record an EP, Closer. He continued to release music independently and even landed an opening gig for Florida Georgia Line.

In 2016 he signed with Sony Music Nashville and released his debut album in the same year Kane Brown. Brown has had countless successes in the country music industry, earning CMT, AMA, and ACM awards.

The singer grew up in Georgia and Tennessee with a single mother. The couple eventually settled in Red Bank, Tennessee, where the future country star attended Lakeview Fort Oglethorpe High School.

One of his classmates was a girl named" Alena. She and Brown were in the choir together and he credits her with fueling his passion for singing.

“I was always the quiet one in the room,” Brown said when he walked in Southern Living occurred" and jam”-Podcast. “And she could always sing, and she got me my own solo. I think I sang “I Can Only Imagine”. And she did them all [leave] the class. She made me stay and sing for the teacher and then she did her thing for American Idol did. Alaina’s appearance" idol even inspired Brown to do it for American Idol and The X Factor to try, but he didn’t find success in the reality shows. The country star was born after auditioning for American Idol rejected and he left The X Factor after the judges tried to put him in a boy band.

Lauren Alaina and Kane Brown have teamed up for What Ifs

Alaina came second in the tenth season of 2011 American Idol Judges and spectators with their performances of songs like “Unchained Melody”, “Any Man of Mine” and “If I Die Young”.

After her stint on the singing competition show, Alaina signed to Interscope Records and released her debut album in 2011 wild flowers . Two of her songs made #1 on the Billboard Country chart – “Road Less Traveled” and “What Ifs,” which she recorded with Brown.

“We really want each other to be okay,” Alaina said about their duet. “[‘What Ifs’] was the perfect opportunity for us to show what we can do. I love Kane and it was a natural fit.” The couple have performed together on numerous occasions, including in their hometown of Chattanooga.

“Honestly, I wanted to cry,” Alaina said of the performance. “I’m just thinking when I think about him – I know he’s super muscular and a grown up and a father and a grown man – but to me it’s like your parents always see you as a little kid. You know, that’s how you see people you grow up with. I just have so many memories with him from early childhood.”
