Kate Middleton struggles to keep her kids grounded
William, Kate and their three children are important to their country. But sources say Kate and William are hoping to keep the kids as grounded as possible. And an important way they do that is through the examples they give them.
Friends have described Kate as laid back and loving like a mother, often shopping and making dinner with the kids. And even her low-maintenance look is said to be a message to her, a source said. It helps keep their realities in check by setting a good standard.
“It’s the life of a working mom with three young kids — just a different kind of day job than most,” a friend of Kate’s told PEOPLE. They stressed that the Cambridge home was “normal” but “busy”, like most homes with three children.
The children will be ‘cancelled’ by Kate Middleton if necessary.

But the children are not allowed to afford everything because they are royally valuable. Kate isn’t afraid to give them a stern lecture when she realizes they deserve it.
“When you see her behind closed doors with the kids, she’s a very confident mother and not a pushover,” the friend explained. “The children are called names when they behave.”
