Season 17 of the famed TLC show will chronicle the collapse of Kody and Christine’s decades-long plural marriage. Long before their split, the two apparently liked each other very well. Kody once recalled being drawn to Christine’s “spark” and “bubbly” personality.
Christine Brown and Kody Brown split almost a year ago
Christine announced her split from Kody in November 2021, just days before the season 16 premiere of sister wives. The announcement came as no surprise to fans of the series. They closely monitored the Brown family’s movements during the off-season.
The real estate movements in summer 2021 have tilted sister wives raves about problems in Christine and Kody’s marriage. Christine sold her home in Flagstaff, Arizona in October 2021. Just days later, she bought a home in Murray, Utah. Christine currently resides in Utah hours from Kody and her sister wives who remain in Flagstaff.
TLC highlighted the couple’s troubled marriage in Season 16 of the show. Season 17 of sister wives, which premieres on September 11th, will continue to cover the collapse of the union. Season 17 seems likely to culminate in Christine’s decision to flee Arizona.
Kody Brown once recalled his attraction to Christine’s spark
Christine and Kody’s relationship is over, but they were seemingly happy about part of their marriage. In the family memoirs become sister wivesKody recalled being drawn to Christine’s “spark” and “bubbly” personality.
In the memoir, Kody noted that over time he became interested in having Christine around because she brought ease to situations. Kody said Christine’s personality was in stark contrast to his first wife, Meri’s personality. He said Meri is cautious and keen to keep a low profile. Christine would throw herself into any situation. He called her “bubbly”.
While Kody was willing to praise Christine’s personality in the family memoir, he was pulled over sister wives Followers for the comments that came after the praise. In the same passage, Kody admitted to being “repelled” by Christine’s food choices and worried that she was physically attracted to her because she was “chubby.”
Christine was first interested in Kody Brown
Christine hasn’t been Kody Brown’s wife for a while. In the season 17 trailer for sister wives, the mother of six, revealed that being married to Kody for several years was “heartbreaking”. Their marriage didn’t start well either. In the past, Christine has described the wedding day as “grumpy.” Despite this, Christine was interested in joining the Brown family for some time before it happened.
In the memoir, Christine wrote that she had a crush on Kody for months hoping that she would become his third wife. Her hopes were initially dashed when Kody decided to court one of Christine’s friends who was still a teenager. When that commercial failed, Christine came back into the picture. She rekindled her friendships with both Kody and Meri Brown before finally joining the family.
