Kody Brown wonders if he’ll “get used to” a woman

Kody Brown was reflected in the last episode of the division of his “big” plural family Sister wives – and wondered if he could really be monogamous Robyn Brown.
“It’s a weird place where you had this big family and it’s a big deal,” Kody, 54, noted in a confessional on Sunday, September 10. “And now we have this little thing going on that’s not unimportant and nice, but not as big as this other one. Can I adapt?”
He continued: “I don’t want to sit there and identify as a monogamist [but] If you are what you do, what are you if you don’t do it? Can I be a monogamist? Can I do this? I mean, this is smaller.”
Kody made a comment about his breakup Janelle Brown after the now exes had a massive brawl that aired a week earlier. Driving with his buddy NathanKody admitted that he was surprised by the dramatic turn his relationships took.
“Stupid things go through my head like, ‘I wish I hadn’t done that, I wish we’d never gotten married, I wish I could go back in time.’ … I just never would have predicted something like this would happen to me,” he told his friend. “And I never would have predicted how I would react to it.”
Janelle, 54, was Kody’s second wife after his marriage Meri Brown in 1990. He then exchanged spiritual vows with him Christine Brown They rekindle a romance with 44-year-old Robyn and ultimately decide to divorce 52-year-old Meri and legally tie the knot with Robyn instead.

News of the split came shortly after Janelle revealed to TLC viewers in December 2022 that she and Kody had been separated for some time. Christine, 51, was the first of Kody’s wives to leave the family in 2021.
While reflecting on the state of his dysfunctional family, Kody said on camera Sunday that when he began his journey, he was “so optimistic about living plural marriage.” “Everyone seemed happy. And they’re not now, nobody’s happy now,” he said. “It’s heartbreaking. It was a dream and now it’s gone. It’s such chaos at the moment.”
Not only was Kody sad about his relationship ending, but he also admitted he got angry too. “I really want to grow horns now. I want to say mean things, I want to be an idiot. … I worked so hard to do the right thing,” he continued. “And when you lose that and feel like you’ve failed even before God, you get to a point where you think, ‘Well, I should just be the devil I think I am now.'”
Kody’s mood changed further as he added, “I hate my life right now.”
Robyn, meanwhile, spoke about how Kody’s breakup with his other women affected their own relationship. “We’ve never had as many problems in our marriage as we do now,” she admitted. “He is suspicious of anyone who is unfaithful to him, he turns that on me. … I don’t really recognize him right now and I’ve never seen him like that before.”
Robyn said she remains “invested in the family.” “So if he questions it…it feels a little bit like a dealbreaker in our marriage,” she added. “This is not our marriage agreement. I would be completely devastated if he decided to leave me. … I know he would regret leaving everything behind.”
Sister wives airs Sundays at 10 p.m. ET on TLC.
